Framework Agreement for the Provision of Tree Surgery Services

Tender description

Kildare County Council proposes to establish and operate a Framework Agreement for thye Provision of Tree Surgery Services. The proposed services includes but is not limited to: • Tree felling • Tree pruning • Stump grinding • Wood chipping and associated waste disposal • The holding of adequate transport licence for green waste disposal and disposal to appropriate licenced facility • Provide traffic management services where relevant (design and implimentation) • Provide emergency call outs day and night in the event of storms knocking trees down along a public road or other hazardous situations. • To fulfill the role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) The services may be carried out in rural and urban areas. A large variety of projects and activities may be specified under the Framework for Tree Surgery Services. The frequency, scale and type of projects may vary depending on the needs of Kildare County Council and the urgency of the services required. It is estimated that approximately €80,000 in value of tree surgery services of this nature were carried out in the past 12 months. However this is not a guarantee of the value of future services in the proposed Framework. Moreover, Kildare County Council reserves the right to award contracts outside of this framework agreement at their discretion. The proposed framework is intended to commence in Q1 of 2014 and run for a 12 month term with the option to extend for a further 12 month term (a maximum total term of 24 months or two years).
