Network Rail (NR) requires a range of apprenticeship delivery suppliers in order to help fulfil its demand for apprenticeship development and capability. This will cover a range of apprenticeship standards and categories. NR is committed to the development of its staff. As part of this commitment, NR supports employees striving to achieve industry recognised qualification. This is sometimes through the funding of apprenticeships, which can vary widely in subject matter. Typical examples include business and administration and environmental management. NR does not currently have a consistent model for procuring apprenticeship delivery services. NR is therefore looking to address this gap by establishing a procurement model for apprenticeship delivery which is flexible, agile, and value adding. This may be in the form of a Dynamic purchasing system, or a Framework Agreement, for example. The purpose of this Periodic indicative notice (PIN) is to help inform the Contracting Authority (Network Rail) of the current market conditions and assist in developing a strategy for procuring such services.
