Summary of the work Working with the System Operating Authority (SOA) you will interface on a daily basis with DE&S to assist the delivery of an exciting IT capability based on Evergreen and Agile principles. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 37 Weeks with 9 week unfunded option Latest start date Monday 22 October 2018 Maximum Day Rate £500 per day worked (inclusive of T&S) The post will be based almost entirely at a single site with minimal travel anticipated. Early Market Engagement N/A Who Speclialist Work With You will be a key member of the System Operating Authority, overseeing the integration of a bespoke network. You will work with the delivery organisation, DE&S, on a daily basis. What Specialists Work On On a daily basis the PM -Deployed Systems will: •Manage and deliver plans to ensure all preparation and execution of tasks and dependencies •Manage all aspects of specific work packages working with stakeholders to ensure Design; Delivery; Technical Build; testing; MI requirements etc. are managed and delivered to agreed timescales. •Working with stakeholders; attend/represent (as appropriate) at various meetings and boards •Lead regular engagements with stakeholders to ensure outputs are produced to the required standard within defined. •Produce Management Information and attend project checkpoints. •Assist in the development of Operational Readiness Evaluation Plans for new hardware. Full TORs upon award Skills & Experience • Demonstrable experience of working on a programme that has delivered or is delivering a classified strategic Command and Control system in a Military context. • Demonstrable experience of working in a high pressure, conflicting priority environment that delivers equipment to units within Front Line Commands. • Strong documentation and problem solving skills. • Strong communication skills as the role will be primarily customer focused and will involve managing customer and stakeholder expectations • Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office 2007 • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills • MSP, PRINCE 2, APM Professional • ITIL v3 Foundation certification • Service Design Delivery • Network & Infrastructure • Training Design including the DSAT process and JSP822 Framework • Possess strong analytical skills with a proven ability to persuade and influence senior decision-making • Strong leadership, people and communications skills. • Hands-on Project Manager. Nice to Haves • Knowledgeable of transition, upgrades, refresh projects in an Agile environment. • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities Work Location Hereford Working Arrangments 40 hrs (8hrs Mon - Fri) Security Clearance MOD DV required on day 1 of the appointment due to the sensitivity of the role.
