Tender description

Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) are seeking to award a contract for the design, procurement, manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning of an Overhead Container Crane for the unshielded waste store extension to the Dounreay Cementation Plant (DCP). Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) require to award a contract for the design, procurement, manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning of an Overhead Container Handling Crane for the unshielded waste store extension to the Dounreay Cementation Plant (DCP). The scope of works comprises of the following activities: Scheme and Detail Designs which includes interactions with the Design Consultant appointed for the Build Phase; Procurement of components and systems; Manufacture of the crane; Fabrication, Assembly and Testing of the crane; Delivery of the crane to the Dounreay Site; Liaison with the Build Contractor for the Build Phase for the installation of the crane (i.e. rail survey, lifting of the crane into position, electrical interconnections); Liaison with the Build Contractor for the Build Phase for the commissioning including provision of handover pack, training of operatives, provision of operational spares.
