Catering to Corporate Premises at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre

Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre is part of the Cornwall Council Learning and Achievement Directorate and provides outdoor learning, adventure education and residential experience to schools and other organisations in Cornwall. This procurement is to appoint a sole contractor to provide catering for the residential groups using the centre to include breakfast, lunch, evening meal and bedtime drink. The groups comprise anywhere between 30-200 children in the period April-October (fewer numbers in school holidays). Although the centre is open all year round the main residential period is typically April to October though there is an intention to expand this to include March and November. The Centre is open 7 days a week though typically the client groups occupy the centre from Monday to Friday, often with a midweek changeover. Group sizes vary. At its busiest the Centre accommodates in the region of 200 people however there are occasions when only 20-30 clients are in attendance.
