South Cambridgeshire District Council - Village Design Statements

Tender description

SCDC has been awarded funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)'s Design Quality Fund, to work with local communities to develop a number of exemplar Village Design Statements (VDS). SCDC is currently working to identify the most appropriate villages in the District to participate in this project, and to undertake early research and capacity building, including identifying a project champion and forming a project steering group, with the selected village communities. SCDC wishes to procure up to four (4) suitably experienced and skilled consultants to work with selected villages in the District and with SCDC planners, to produce high quality, concise and bespoke Village Design Statements that are suitable to be adopted as Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD). The documents will support SCDC's aspirations and ambitions for high quality architecture and urban design in the area. Each of the selected consultants will work with 1 to 3 village communities to produce their Village Design Statements.
