Why the Work is Being Done To provide support and implement improvements to a live service based on feedback from users. Problem to Be Solved The internal service team requires Salesforce expertise for an existing Salesforce implementation, using the Lightning experience with some customisation using Apex. The supplier should be primarily responsible for: 1. Architecture 2. Development or configuration of new or changed functionality, or fixes to issues identified 3. Code review of changes 4. Impact analysis of proposed changes on existing service 5. Quality assurance of deliverables 6. Ensuring engineering excellence and adhering to best practice Suppliers should also have familiarity with Salesforce apps such as Einstein Analytics and Pardot. Who Are the Users As a government user I need access to a CRM. Early Market Engagement Work Already Done This service has been running for over 12 months with around 300 users, Existing Team The service team within Cabinet Office includes a Service Manager, Delivery Manager, Business Analyst, User Researcher and System Administrator. The supplier would be part of this multidisciplinary team providing engineering, architectural and QA expertise. Current Phase Live Work Location London (Whitehall). It is possible for suppliers to work remotely but they should be prepared to attend key meetings and sprint rituals in central London. Working Arrangments This project will be run using agile methodology, using Scrum and manged in the Cabinet Office instance of JIRA. Sprints length is 2–3 weeks. The following agile rituals are expected once per sprint, grouped together in a single morning or afternoon, preferably onsite in Whitehall: - Demo (1 hour) - Retrospective (1 hour) - Sprint planning (1 hour) The following agile rituals are expected several times per sprint and can be done remotely: - Bug triage (Ad-hoc) - Standup (Daily) Sprint dates will be agreed in advance at fixed points during the year with support particularly required around Salesforce releases. Security Clearance We expect individuals with access to code or production environments to have Security Clearance (SC) or above. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Saleforce architecture and data modelling Salesforce configuration and customisation using Lightning Experience and Apex providing code reviews of customised Apex code providing impact analysis of proposed changes on existing service providing quality assurance of deliverables demonstrate how they ensure engineering excellence and adherence to best practice Nice to Haves familiarity with Einstein Analytics familiarity with Pardot No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 5 Proposal Criteria Value for money Capability - ability of the supplier to provide the requisite level of expertise Approach - ability of the supplier to integrate and operate effectively as part of the a multidisciplinary team Cultural Fit Criteria Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with the Cabinet Office service team Take responsibility for their work Share knowledge and experience with other team members Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions and facing unexpected issues Be willing to challenge requirements if necessary Payment Approach Capped time and materials Assessment Method Written proposal Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 50% Cultural fit 20% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers Budget range budget is available for support of 12 days per quarter. suppliers should quote on a time and materials basis for hours in excess of this minimum.
