Tender description

Leicester City Council working with invites Tenders for the provision of axle load indicators on an ad hoc basis for a large range of vehicles. The proposed Contract will be for one year with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than a further 3 years. We anticipate awarding to a single Supplier. Leicester City Council has a fleet of over 700 vehicles and is the holder of a Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence. To enhance our legal and safety compliance, we have taken the decision to install axle load indicators on all our vehicles of 3,5 t GVM and above, and also on to some smaller vehicles where there is an operational need. Suppliers are provided with 3 options to tender for, in order to determine the most economically advantageous solution.
