Tender description

The work undertaken by contractor staff will be a mixture of Heavy industrial maintenance and installation type work. To this end the following core skills will be required by ESB: — Installation of electrical equipment, cable/wiring systems etc. in compliance with “IEE¨ and “Electro Technical Council of Ireland” regulations, — Communicating with specific parts of hardware using various tools like computers, multimeters, specialized software and so on to carry out their work, — Electro Pneumatics — Maintenance of E/P units, — Electro hydraulics — Maintenance of EHC units, — Electrically driven Actuators – Disconnection and reconnection of same, — Electric Motors – Disconnection and reconnection of same, — Fault finding in electrical circuits, — Ability to read and interpret Electrical drawings and manuals and to communicate any updates/modifications to these drawings/manuals as appropriate. Plant specific skills Familiarity with installed electrical hardware: — 6.6kV and 380V motors, — 3.6kV and 380V Board Layout, — Boiler Feed Pump Brushgear, — Sootblower and Wallblowers, — UPS Systems, — Trace heating electrical systems, — Emergency and Normal Lighting Circuits, — Diesel Generator electrical systems, — Generator Brushgear, — Boiler Feed Pump Cascade Speed Control System, Turbine / Boiler Limitorque and Auma Actuators. — Ability to trouble-shoot and interrogate system to aid fault diagnosis, — Ability to replace faulty components on and off load. Ability to work on Foster Wheeler Ball Mills — Familiar with mill safety warning system, — Knowledge of Auma actuators. Turbine — Plant Knowledge of BBC Steam Turbine
