Health Education England are publishing the draft specification for the evaluation of the Improving Surgical Training (IST) pilot in England. The aim of this procurement is to identify a qualified provider to evaluate the outcomes of the Improving Surgical Training (IST) pilot in England, which seeks to improve the educational environment for Core-level Surgical Trainees. This exercise will assess the impact of this intervention; capture the perceptions of those involved; and develop a nuanced understanding of the new features and mechanisms trialled in the pilot, using a range of objective and subjective measures.
