The open university is looking to put in place a framework with multiple suppliers with up to date knowledge of the Higher Education sector, who can provide a holistic approach to executive recruitment services to help the open University appoint: — the most suitable candidate with specific expertise, — increased recruitment efficiency and effectiveness, — effective marketing of the University’s senior roles to attract a high calibre, diverse range of candidates, — a competitive approach, which is mindful of best practice and trends. The framework will cover senior academic, leadership & professional roles. This contract is intended to cover all of the open University’s Senior Academic, leadership and professional executive recruitment requirements. The open University is looking for multiple suppliers with up to date knowledge of the Higher Education sector, who can provide a holistic approach to Senior Academic, leadership and professional executive recruitment and search services to help the open University appoint: — the most suitable candidate with specific expertise, — increase recruitment efficiency and effectiveness, — effective marketing of the University’s senior roles to attract a high calibre, diverse range of candidates, —a competitive approach, which is mindful of best practice and trends. core services. The supplier(s) will advise and give expert support to the appointment panel in its work to find and appoint a suitable candidate for a (Job Title). The supplier(s) must be able to provide pay and reward benchmarking for specialist areas, such as Academic, Leadership and Professional appointments. The supplier(s) must work together with the University and key managers, appointment panel members and other staff to gain an understanding on the culture and operation of the organisation and the character of the current and future role requirements. Visit the University in the early stages of the process to meet with key managers, appointment panel members and other staff for information on the culture and operation of the organisation and the character of the current and future role at the open University. Develop with the University information for candidates, including the role and candidate specification. Draft and finalise the text and placement of recruitment advertisements nationally and internationally, in order to attract the target population and using network, informal contact, databases and research to identify potential candidates for consideration. Noting that any job advertised in Wales will need to be in Welsh. Ensuring the information gives a clear and accurate portrayal of the University department/Unit and the role and responsibilities of the job; Ensuring the advert is in accordance with the University’s policies and standards (e.g. for equal opportunities) and complies with any UKVI requirements; Ensuring the suggested media selection is appropriate and offers the most cost-effective solution. The supplier(s) must be proactive in sharing equality and diversity best practice to enable the delivery of the Open University’s equality objectives as per the open University’s Equality Scheme 2016-2020. The supplier(s) will be expected to collect and scrutinise applications from all sources, including other names suggested to the University. Manage all candidate’s (internal and external) expectations equally throughout the process. The supplier(s) will prepare a long list of potential candidates, matching information from the applications to the role and candidate specifications and present to the appointment panel for its consideration and undertake further investigations or provide more information on particular candidates at the panel’s request. Advising the appointment panel on the quality and fit of candidates and on the selection process as requested. Preparing a further report for the appointment panel on the selected candidates to enable the panel to draw up a final short list for interview. The supplier(s) will not determine the final selection, nor be present at the interviews, although will be required to provide interview advice, guidance and support, if required. Once the appointment panel has agreed a final short list, the supplier(s) will assist in the arrangement of visits by candidates to the University, including arranging travel if necessary, by liaising with HR, stakeholders and the candidates to arrange mutually convenient dates with a tight time frame for the visit programme. The supplier(s) will ensure that each candidate is fully informed on any selection or assessme.
