Summary of the work The PTP planner will work in a multi-discipline team to support the Programme Director in driving towards the delivery of a number of procurements and service transitions associated with the transfer of Procurement, Logistics, IT and Financial transaction processing services from today’s single provider to a multi-provider future model. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 8 months Latest start date Monday 12 February 2018 Maximum Day Rate £600 Who Speclialist Work With Role sit within the PMO. Planner will work with 6 lead project managers working on phased releases, supported by their teams. Also interactions with 7 functions and external stakeholders. What Specialists Work On Advanced working knowledge of MS Project including the underlying data structures within project Advanced Excel /Access - building reporting databases from multiple data sources, creation of macros, VBA code to automate report production. Database design knowledge to construct a consolidated data set of MS Project/JIRA risk data, plus other data sources. Key output; automated status tracking report from the consolidation of individual Project plans into a single database, included additional data from JIRA and other data sources. Report will utilise baseline, forecast, actual dates from the project plans as well as dependency data and links to the risks in JIRA Skills & Experience • Advanced working knowledge of MS Project application including the underlying data structures within the tool • Advanced MS Excel / MS Access knowledge including building reporting databases from multiple data sources and creation of macros and or VBA code to automate report production • Database design knowledge in order to be able to construct a consolidated data set of MS Project and JIRA risk data, plus other potential data sources • Manage dependencies; assumptions and other controls • Track record of successful delivery in an equivalent role with equivalent level of responsibility in complex Projects • Knowledge of industry standard methods and tools eg MSP Experience of working successfully with staff and representatives from business teams to deliver business change initiatives • Experience of working successfully in large; complex organisations • Delivering in a time pressured environment Nice to Haves • Manage challenging and demandng stakeholders • Government experience Work Location Skipton House London SE1 6LH Working Arrangments 5 days a week flexible working, however most of the team are based at SH so huge benefits of being in the office most days can mean conversations, updates, important interactions and decisions can be made quickly.
