Tender description

Network Rail requires the manufacture and supply of tensioning devices, operated via coiled spring(s), to maintain mechanical tension in the overhead contact line conductor(s) for use on 25 kV AC or 25-0-25 kV AC electrified lines. The A.C. electrification traction supply system forms part of the railway infrastructure owned and operated by Network Rail. The system consists of feeder stations, track sectioning sites, a 25 kV (classic) or 25 kV / 0/ 25 kV (autotransformer) overhead line contact system and assocaited SCADA systems. Network Rail requires the manufacture and supply of tensioning devices, operated via coiled spring(s), to maintain mechnical tension in the overhead contact line conductor(s) for use on 25 kV AC or 25-0-25 kV AC electrified lines. During the initial 5 years term of the framework agreement Network Rail will be looking to procure between 6 000 and 12 000 tensioning devices. Any tenderers looking to express and interest must do so via Network Rail's BravoNR e-sourcing platform, and must do so by 19.2.2018.
