Market Engagement Event for Integrated Urgent Care for NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of the commissioner(s), NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (MKCCG), would like to invite providers to attend a 'Market Engagement Event' which will inform the market of the commissioners intentions to procure an "Integrated Urgent Care Service", as well as commencing a process to allow the market to feedback on MKCCG's commissioning intentions and requirements. MKCCG plans to commission, as part of this service; • An Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), and • An Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service (IUC CAS). The service will be commissioned in line with the Integrated Urgent Care Service Specification Policy (https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Integrated-Urgent-Care-Service-Specification.pdf), Urgent Treatment Centres - Principles and Standards Guidance published by NHS England in July 2017 (https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/urgent-treatment-centres-principles-and-standards/). To date MKCCG has identified the following as some of the key attributes which will be required of the service: • Ease of access for patients to an appropriate clinician; • Being operational 365 days a year; • Fully integrated with the local same day and urgent care system, especially 111; • Managing demand for same day and urgent need away from A&E; • To have the capability to consult with patients both face to face and on the telephone. The Market Engagement Event will take place on Monday 19th February 2018, 1:30pm - 3:30pm in Milton Keynes. The Event will provide: • An overview of the service to be provided; • An overview of the CCG's requirements and aims for the service; • Stakeholder feedback received so far; • Specific questions for attendees to feedback on regarding service delivery; • An opportunity to provide feedback on the anticipated service; • The anticipated procurement process.
