Tender description

The London Borough of Hackney is seeking to contract with an experienced supplier to provide high-quality event catering and cafeteria service to The Tomlinson Centre, Hackney’s professional development centre. This shall include beverages and refreshments, platter and cafeteria lunches and occasionally banqueting services. The Tomlinson Centre is a professional training and development centre belonging to Hackney Council which provides education and conferencing facilities across a range of disciplines. Its facilities are also rented to a wide range of organisations. It is under the management of Hackney Learning Trust, the Council’s education department. The contract period shall be 2 years, commencing in June 2018, with the option for two annual extensions thereafter. The Contractor shall provide a high-quality event catering and cafeteria service to The Tomlinson Centre. This shall include beverages and refreshments, platter and cafeteria lunches and occasionally banqueting services. The meeting room catering service shall be available between 08:00 – 16:00. Meeting room lunches shall be required between the hours of 12:00 and 14:00. The café service shall be available between 08:00 – 16:00 with lunch being served between the hours of 12:00 and 14:00. The contractors should show flexibility and be able to respond to any ad hoc requests outside of these core lunch hours. Below are the average annual number of: Beverages - 31500. Cafeteria lunches - 6500. Finger buffets - 1500. Sandwich lunches - 3000.
