Tender description

This contract is for the provision of three (3) patrol boats for Op Metro: Partner Nation (PN) Surface Crafts. Kenya’s Rural Border Patrol Unit (RBPU) has a maritime wing, the Boarder Sea Operations Team (BORSOPTs), who are responsible for patrolling various waterways on the Kenyan coast. The BORSOPTs, with the Kenyan Ministry of Interior, are constructing a series of small bases from which to mount operations. To maximise the effectiveness of these bases, positioned tactically throughout the bays and inlets of Lamu County, the BORSOPTs require a total of three (3) patrol boats in sufficient quality and serviceability to patrol these waterways.
