Tender description

Wynhol Viaduct carries the M5 motorway along the side of the Gordano Valley between Junctions 19 and 20. There are two separate viaduct structures, one carrying the Northbound carriageway (Lower Viaduct) and a second carrying the Southbound carriageway (Upper Viaduct). Parapet protection and repair works are required along the Lane 3 off-side (central reserve) parapet which not only covers the Upper viaduct structure, but also adjacent Median Retaining Walls 1 and 2. Wynhol Viaduct Lower & Upper require concrete testing grids to the traffic facing up stands and top faces at multiple locations along the southbound hard shoulder only, and at two locations on the northbound hard shoulder and adjacent to lane 3. During the concrete testing there will be another team carrying out post removal (all bolted connections) to allow access to place stud testing rig and carry out multiple tests (where accessible).
