Tender description

Her Majesty’s Coroners are involved in the investigation of any sudden or suspicious death. Under these circumstances, and by law, a post mortem examination may be undertaken to determine the cause of death. Norfolk County Council wishes to enter into a contract(s) for the provision of services for the removal of bodies on behalf of Her Majesty's Coroner. The procurement will be an open procedure to appoint a contractor(s) for the provision of services for the removal of bodies on behalf of Her Majesty's Coroner. It is anticipated that the requirement will be split into a number of service areas with each area having its own Contractor. At this point the Council's approach to the areas is still being considered. As such we will be seeking views from potential bidders at a supplier engagement event.
