TFL 01206 Dust Extraction System AC10 CLIP

Tender description

London Underground will carry out train modification works on 85 x 8-car Central Line trains to deliver the Central Line Improvement Programme (CLIP). These modification works will include: AC Traction conversion, DTS replacement, saloon floor corrosion repair, body end replacement, RVAR modifications and installations, LED installation and CCTV installation. Installation will take 40 days for each 8-car train, with around 8 days of strip out work carried out in AC10. The works currently planned for AC10 include saloon interior panel removal, body end panel removal, floor covering removal, corrosion repair, and wheelchair space installation. This work is programmed to commence in July 2018 and will continue until March 2023 A suitable extraction system is essential to enable these works to be carried out safely for the full duration of CLIP and will allow continued use of AC10 for similar works post CLIP. TfL is to establish a five year contract, with the option to extend for 3 + 2 years, for the supply and maintenance of an extraction system for workshop AC-10 at Acton Works Keywords: Air Monitoring, Vantilation, Dust Extraction, Clean Air
