Tender description
The primary objective of this exercise is to establish a framework on behalf of NEPO Local Authorities and other NEPO Associate Members for the implementation of a Regional Framework Agreement for the provision of Street Lighting Assistance and the supporting components of the works required. The framework will have the following Lots available: Lot 1: Installation works, including highway electrical connections on DNO/ IDNO (Contestable Works) andprivately owned networks. Lot 2: Highway electrical connections on DNO/ IDNO networks including NERS project management. Lot 3: Highway electrical connections on DNO/ IDNO networks excluding NERS project management. The successful supplier(s) is required to provide scheme installation works, and associated highway electrical connections on DNO/ IDNO and privately owned cables as follows: — Supply (if required), erection and removal of columns, — Erection and removal of lanterns, — Erection and removal of sign plates, — Private cable: joint, connection, termination, cable in duct, trench excavation and reinstatement, — Supply (if required) and installation of feeder pillar, — Supply (if required), installation, erection and removal of illuminated street furniture, — Traffic Management provision, — Design of connections, — Connections of unmetered supplies, — Disconnections of unmetered supplies, — Transfers of unmetered supplies, — Overhead cable connections / transfers / disconnections — to include 3 phase connections to feeder pillars. In relation to street furniture including but not limited to street lighting, illuminated bollards, traffic signs etc. to unmetered supplies (UMS). Associated civil engineering works such as trench excavation, backfilling, duct installation and reinstatement are also included. Contracting Authorities: The agreement will be available for use by all NEPO Members within the North East region.
