Tender description

Medway Council requires a suitably experienced consultant technical advisor to provide advice and undertake the role of surveyor and project manager during planned infrastructure improvements at Rochester Airport. Rochester Airport will continue to be fully operational throughout the improvement works. The Council intends to safeguard the future of the Airport, incorporating a modern airport facility with improved heritage and community facilities. It is clear to the Council that the successful operation of the airport is integral to Medway’s future economic prosperity. To achieve this, Medway Council has been awarded £4.4m from the South East Local Enterprise Partnership through the Local Growth Fund round two. The works covered by this funding have been set out in section 4 below. Planning permission has been granted for the majority of the works (Planning application reference MC/14/2914) with further planning applications to be determined.
