The Council is looking to engage with potential providers of Extra Care schemes to support understanding of the different options available to inform a remodel of the current services in the borough. Barnsley Council's corporate priorities relating to Extra Care is; — To create more and better housing by enhancing extra care; and — Deliver efficiency savings by introducing early intervention and prevention thus reducing unplanned hospital admissions and reducing residential care admissions.
