Tender description

The Central Procurement Directorate is placing this transparency notice to alert economic operators of its plan to modify a contract in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The scope of this contract remains true to the original procurement and the services required are as specified. The contract is being modified for 1 additional year at a value of 138 495 GBP. The Contract was agreed in June 2017 for a 2 year period. This was agreed in the context of Brexit and its implications for this EU-related inspection activity. It remains unclear what the Northern Ireland position will be, post-Brexit, in respect of area-based schemes or their successor(s). In the meantime the existing 2 years of this Contract will not be sufficient to secure clarity on successor arrangements, whilst also ensuring that the existing system delivers vital payments to the rural community. It is vital, therefore, that sufficient contract arrangements are made to enable DAERA to avail of ICON’s services throughout this period. DAERA therefore intend to modify the Contract under Regulation 72(1)(C) for an additional period of one year and for the additional value of 138 495 GBP leading to a total contract value of 443 184 GBP.
