Tender description
City of Wolverhampton Council wishes to tender its Young Carer’s Service. The overarching aim of the Council’s People Directorate is to enable all communities, families and individuals to thrive, with a specific goal of investing in early intervention, reablement and prevention to maximise independence. This project supports young carers from 5 to 25 including those who are transitioning into adulthood. Young carers are entitled under the Care Act 2014 and the Children’s Act 2009 to a carer’s assessment. The project anticipates that information will be shared securely between Social Services and the project in order that young people receive the support and acknowledgement that they require.
