Tender description

Staffordshire County Council and NHS England wish to explore commissioning intentions for an Integrated Sexual Health Service with the aim of maintaining quality sexual health and HIV treatment provision for the Staffordshire population and for groups at higher risk of sexual ill health. The sexual health system includes: — Promotion and provision for good sexual health including the delivery of contraception services and a condom distribution scheme, — Management of the consequences of poor sexual health including the testing and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infection (STIs) and work to prevent these from recurring, — Management of treatment for the sexual health related elements of psychosexual counselling, — Management of treatment for patients diagnosed as HIV positive Staffordshire County Council and NHS England wish to explore commissioning intentions for an Integrated Sexual Health Service with the aim of maintaining quality sexual health and HIV treatment provision for the Staffordshire population and for groups at higher risk of sexual ill health. It is anticipated that tender documentation will be available in early October 2018 and will cover one of two options: — Integrated sexual health clinics, including contraception, STI testing and treatment, and HIV treatment services covering Newcastle Under Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands Districts ONLY or — Integrated sexual health clinics, including contraception, STI testing and treatment, and HIV treatment services covering all of Staffordshire (Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stafford, Lichfield, Tamworth, Cannock, Burton, and South Staffordshire). Interested bidders are asked to register on the E tendering Proactis system (below) and express an interest in the opportunity. Further soft market testing may be undertaken in the future to further develop the approaches above, any requests for interested bidders to take part will be made via the Proactis system.
