Tender description

There will be one supplier event on the 27th July at 10:00 held at NHS Education for Scotland, 102 Westport, Edinburgh, EH3 9DN. This event will allow NES and interested parties to discuss the requirements of the services. There will be a slide show discussing the details of the Tender and an open question and answer session. To register a place on this event please email Declan.Walkden@nes.scot.nhs.uk with the names of the delegates (maximum of 2 per supplier). Please Note there will be no other supplier days available for this Tender. Attached is a draft specification for the service being Tendered for. Please Note this Specification is a draft document and will be amended once discussions have taken place on the 27.7.2018. Outcome – Practitioners will have the evidence-based knowledge and skills to assess, manage or refer patients presenting with joint pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions Outcome - Practitioners will have the evidence-based knowledge and skills to confidently assess and manage patients presenting and living with asthma Outcome - Participants will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to support prevention, secondary prevention and management of patients experiencing, or at risk of, cardiovascular disease. Outcome – Participants will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to support the assessment and management of patients with COPD including skills in conducting and interpreting spirometry tests. Outcome – Participants will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to support the assessment and management of patients and their families living with Diabetes Outcome – Participants will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to support the assessment and management of patients and their families living with Chronic Heart Failure Outcome – Practitioners will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to identify, assess, manage and refer patients and their families with mental health issues Outcome – Practitioners will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to triage, manage and refer patients presenting with minor illnesses Outcome – Practitioners will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to triage, manage and refer patients presenting with minor injuries Outcome- Practitioners will have the evidence-based knowledge and skills required to deliver safe and effective sexual and reproductive health care in community and primary care settings. Outcome – Practitioners will have the enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skill to confidently lead an asthma service within a primary care setting Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence to engage effectively with individuals to support behaviour change through consultation, motivational interviewing and brief interventions Outcome – Practitioners will have the enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skill to confidently lead a diabetic service within a primary care setting Outcome – Practitioners will have the enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skill to confidently lead a long-term conditions service within a primary care setting Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence to engage effectively with women to support their health and wellbeing Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence in caring for injured or sick children Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence to engage effectively with men to support their health and wellbeing Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence to support the mental health and wellbeing of people living with a long term condition Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence to conduct and interpret spirometry tests Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence in their skills in conducting safe and effective triage / telephone triage Outcome – Practitioners will have increased confidence to engage effectively with women to support their health and wellbeing
