The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for Franklin College, Chelmsford Avenue, Grimsby, DN34 5BY. Franklin is North East Lincolnshire’s top performing college and is located close to the centre of Grimsby town. The college provides modern facilities in well-kept buildings. Franklin recognises its place within the community and works with local and national companies, clubs, societies and charities to provide opportunities for our students. Franklin is innovative and outward-looking. Catering for approximately 2 739 students and 150 staff, the college has a main dining area, a coffee shop, a retail shop and vending machines that the catering staff currently service. The Client is keen to ensure that students and staff are encouraged to use the catering facilities and that the food offer is enticing and appropriate to the student and staff population whilst offering best value for money to the students and the college itself. The Client has managed its own catering for a number of years and is now seeking a Supplier to manage its catering facilities who has the relevant experience and expertise in the sector and the drive and innovation to maximise the potential of the catering service. The Client would welcome investment in a branded coffee outlet such as Costa or Starbucks. In addition to provision in the coffee shop and restaurant, there is the requirement for occasional hospitality including tea and coffee trays, buffets and working lunches. The contract will commence on 1.1.2019 for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. The contract value is approximately 900 000 GBP per annum.
