The GMC is looking to procure a Digital Voice Recording solution, to be used by the Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service (MPTS) MPTS has a solution with multi-channel input from desk-based and ambient microphones allowing remote transcription of hearing recordings The following functionality (not exhaustive) is required: — creation of complete, accurate digital audio recordings of hearings varying in length, — record and identify nine parties participating in a hearing, — record parties giving evidence via video or telephone conferencing technology, — isolate parties and continue to record all other parties, — ability to start / stop recording over the duration of a hearing and recommence recording from the same position. We will hold information gathering meetings at our Manchester office on 13/08 covering: — recording system for tribunals / court rooms, — Indicative costs.
