The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) wishes to commission an evaluation study on the UK benefits from the last 10 years of CERN, as well as any significant scientific achievements beyond this period, and any significant returns from the construction of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and its detectors. The aim of the study is two-fold; it should measure and demonstrate the scientific, economic and societal impact from CERN, providing an evidence-based understanding of public investment. Secondly, the project should develop an Evaluation Framework to measure and capture the impact of CERN to the UK in future years. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
