Brief Description of Requirement The aim of the tender is to select a contractor to undertake a market study exercise, on behalf of STFC, which will provide input into one STFC-led task as part of the EU Horizon 2020-funded AMICI (Accelerators and Magnet Infrastructure for Collaboration and Innovation) project. Central to this activity will be a survey exercise to be conducted by the selected contractor. This will assess the technical capabilities of an agreed set of European commercial organisations that operate in defined particle accelerator technology areas, looking at their equipment, skills and capacity to deliver, as well as their appetite for commercial innovation based on past history and current attitude to risk. In addition the survey will provide insight into domains of societal and commercial applications, including potential market sizes, beyond large-scale national research laboratories. A report identifying specific domains of societal applications and European commercial organisations that have the current capability, and future potential, to innovate and develop solutions in the fields of particle accelerator technologies will be delivered at the end of the contract. The impact of the market study on the overall AMICI project delivery will be underpinned by three key drivers: the breadth and suitability of the commercial contacts (both in terms of the company's relevance and the suitability of personnel contacts); the ability of the contractor to extract relevant information using the most suitable data collection Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement.
