T192 Provision of a Single Centre Sample Referral solution for Path Links Pathology Service

Tender description

Path Links is the Pathology service provider for the two hospital Trusts Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS FT (NLaG) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULH). The service covers 7 hospitals throughout Lincolnshire (Diana, Princess of Wales hospital (Grimsby), Goole District Hospital (Goole), Grantham and District Hospital (Grantham), Lincoln County Hospital (Lincoln), Pilgrim Hospital (Boston), Scunthorpe General Hospital (Scunthorpe). This also includes all primary care providers within the county. Pathology services have been rationalised and consolidated across the hospital sites but there are still a substantial number of test requests that are not analysed within Path Links and are referred out to other service providers. The current volume of referred tests is circa 25,707 to multiple service providers across the country. The intention is to consolidate these tests to one service provider. The list is not exhaustive and additional tests may be included with mutual agreement from both parties.
