Tender description

The National Composites Centre intends to procure a unified busyness system to meet the requirements of a growing business. The NCC has grown rapidly since its inception with applications implemented to meet an immediate need. There has been no defined strategy to cater for the long term requirements of the company as a whole. The core business application is Winman ERP, which is primarily used to manage the financial and purchasing processes. A mix of spreadsheets, small applications or paper supports most other business functions. The aim is to implement a solution that meets as many requirements of the business as a whole – the provision of a single unified view. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) serves to alert the marketplace of this opportunity. The NCC invites interested contractors to lodge an initial expression of interest by emailing zoe.sotan@nccuk.com. Please note, following consideration of responses the NCC may wish to engage in further discussions with some or all respondents, which may also further help to inform any subsequent tender documentation. As part of the market engagement the NCC welcomes any information that suppliers feel may support the NCC with scoping and planning for this exercise. The NCC intends to use the information gathered to shape the proposed procurement process and specification for this project. Commercially confidential information should therefore be marked accordingly. Tender documents will be finalised following the market engagement stage and issued thereafter. (Note: There are currently no tender documents at this stage - this stage is to understand market interest via expressions of interest only) Following the market engagement stage, the NCC’s intention is to invite suppliers to tender for this opportunity. Participating in this market sounding exercise will not guarantee short-listing at a later stage in the procurement, nor will non-participation in this market sounding exercise restrict access to the tender opportunity. As a result of feedback or for any other reason, the NCC may make the decision not to go ahead with any proposed procurement exercise. The NCC will not meet any costs incurred by any party in responding to this notice. The Invitation to Tender, that follows the market engagement stage (this stage), will be released via the University of Bristol e-tendering portal: https://tenders.bris.ac.uk. We advise all interested suppliers to register on the e-tendering portal in order to be able to view and respond to the tender.
