Tender description

An introductory Mindfulness programme was operated for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) employees during 2017-18. This specification identifies a second phase of development to commence delivery in September 2018. The specified programme will encompass a broadened and fully integrated delivery pathway which enables employees to access mindfulness training online via a 'self-help' route (with support) or via scheduled 'face to face' group sessions. Public Health has worked previously with colleagues in Learning & Development to establish and pilot the first phase of mindfulness group sessions offered to the SMBC workforce, commencing in 2017-18. Employees were offered 'tasters' and 4 cohorts subsequently followed a Mindfulness Training Programme. Positive participant feedback from the programme highlighted the benefits of mindfulness and commitment to continuing the practice.
