NHS South Sefton CCG Hospice at Home

NHS South Sefton CCG - Hospice at Home Service NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) are working on behalf of NHS South Sefton CCG who wish to procure a consultant-led Hospice at Home service delivered from a specialist palliative care unit for patients living in the CCG area. The Hospice at Home service will give additional support in a patient's own home, often at very short notice, for people, who are seriously ill or approaching the end of their life and who want to be cared for at home. It is a service which works with and alongside the GP, District Nurse and existing community services to enhance currently available services. The contract is to be a 3-year contract with the potential to extend for a further 2-year period. The overall value of the contract will be £1,200,000 over the 5-year total contract period. This early engagement notice is to inform the provider market that this may be procured using a competitive tender process.
