Tender description

To support the delivery of the UCI Road Cycling World Championships to be a held in the UK in September 2019 - a 9 day road based cycle event, Yorkshire 2019 Ltd (the event organiser established to deliver the championships), will be seeking bids from traffic management providers. The procurement process is planned to commence in the coming months and will seek bids for a range of lots. The outline format of championships is that it includes both road races and time trials. In general, each day features a different race, that commences at a location in Yorkshire. Each race finishes in Harrogate. In addition, certain races will only be staged in Harrogate, on a closed circuit. The lots will be based on geographic areas in order to compartmentalise traffic management delivery for the championships thereby supporting a straightforward and effective event delivery model that aligns with the command and control design. The procurement will be divided into a range of Lots per geographic areas. The indicated value of this procurement reflects the overall guide cost, and is not indicative of any specific lot. Values for each lot will be determined by the final delivery model.
