Tender description

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors who wish to tender for the design and build of new sheet piling around the end of the North Pier in Newquay Harbour located in front of the existing sheet piling. The area between the new and old steel sheet piles is to be back filled with insitu-concrete in order to stabilise the existing pier. The requirements are as follows: 1) Provide a detailed design for the sheet piling and associated capping beam with a minimum design life of 30 years; 2) Supply and install designed sheet piled solution; 3) Provide suitable method statements to enable Marine Management Organisation consent for the works. Works must be carried out at the start of September 2017.
