Tender description

Clare County Council (The Contracting Authority) in conjunction with Tipperary County Council now wish to appoint a firm of Consulting Engineers, including Specialist Consultancy Services as detailed in the attached documents, to undertake the detailed design preparation of tender documentation, tender evaluation, tender award, contract administration, cost control including agreement of final accounts for the proposed Killaloe Bypass, Shannon Bridge Crossing and R494 Improvement (The Project). The Project was granted planning permission by An Bord Pleanala (Ref Nr: 03.HA0038) in March 2013. Applicants should note that the constraints study, route selection, preliminary design, Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), land acquisition procedures and obtaining planning permission have been completed for the Project. Engineering Consultancy Services, stages (ii) to (v), associated with Killaloe Bypass, Shannon Bridge Crossing and R494 Improvement (the Project). Consultants must include as part of their Application the following specialist skills: 1) PSDP 2) Road Safety Audit 3) Traffic Modelling 4) Ecology including Aquatics 5) Environmental 6) Geotechnical 7) Archaeology Further information regarding the pre-qualification and tender process can be found in the Brief/Information Memorandum (also available to download from www.etenders.gov.ie)
