The GMC is looking to procure a ‘paperless’ solution to be used by the Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service (MPTS) to access documentation during hearings MPTS currently use iPads for some hearings. The GMC is looking to procure a ‘paperless’ solution to be used by the Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service (MPTS) to access documentation during hearings. MPTS currently use iPads for a proportion of hearings to avoid printing legal bundles. These are located in a number of Hearing rooms, with legal bundles pre-downloaded and referenced during a hearing. The following functionality (not exhaustive) will be required: — ability to download hearing bundles, using GMC’s secure document portal, — ability to view multiple documents at once, — ability to present a document page(s) on hearing room display, — ability to order evidence over a defined timeline, — ability to annotate documents and bookmark pages, — ability to save documents, locally or to the secure document portal. All solutions will be considered, irrespective of the underlying hardware used We are looking to hold information gathering meetings at our Manchester office on 09/08, which will cover the following topics: — software/Hardware systems used for UK tribunals/court rooms or other suitable systems, — advantages and disadvantages of available systems/solutions, — indicative cost of systems/solutions.
