Tender description

Essex County Council would like to invite organisations to participate in a series of market engagement events for those interested in delivering housing related support via floating support and/or homelessness accommodation based support services within the county of Essex. The initial market engagement session is scheduled to take place on Thursday 6th September between 14:00 and 16:00 with a second event scheduled on Tuesday 18th September between 11:30 and 13:30. Both of these events will take place at the Council's main offices at County Hall, Market Road, Chelmsford CM1 1QH. During these events, the Council will present the commissioning intentions in relation to this service and providers will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas, views and suggestions for this service with commissioners and members of the project board. At this stage, the Council intends to structure this procurement opportunity in 2 lots, the first of which is due to encompass the provision of floating support services with a view to securing effective, efficient and reliable provision of homelessness prevention for vulnerable individuals. The intention is that this service will provide intensive support to enable the individual to maintain their accommodation. Prospective candidates are advised that the scope of the lots for this procurement opportunity have yet to be finalised and the Council reserves the right to refine the scope of this lot following the market engagement event. The final scope of the lots will be publicised in the corresponding contract notice prior to the formal launch of this procurement activity. At this stage, the Council intends to structure this procurement opportunity in 2 lots, the second of which is due to encompass the provision of homelessness accommodation based support to vulnerable individuals who require intensive support in order to successfully maintain their accommodation within Essex.
