This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is an indication of potential future procurement activity and may be subject to change. This notice makes no commitment to procure any services. This PIN is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. Cornwall Council will be going out to tender in 2018 for the provision of support to Homeless Young People, Young Parents, Families and Gypsy and Travellers with a contract start date of 1.4.2019. Cornwall Council are looking for providers who can provide support to homeless young people. The service should meet the needs of young people who require support whilst in, or transitioning from short term accommodation. The Service will meet its aims through the provision of a flexible, person centred Service that enable Person’s accessing the Service to establish and maintain independence. The current provision is: — Homeless Young People: Location Units of accommodation Hours of support provided: Liskeard 8 3045 Bodmin 12 4568 Truro 12 4568 Redruth / Pool 18 6852 Penzance 10 3806 St Austell 6 2284 — Homeless Young Women: Location Units of accommodation Hours of support provided: Truro 10 3806 Cornwall Council are looking for providers who can provide support to homeless young parents and families. The service should meet the needs of young people who require support whilst in, or transitioning from short term accommodation. The current provision is: — Homeless Families: Location Units of accommodation Hours of support provided: Redruth 11 1144 Truro 18 1872 Liskeard 10 1040 Penzance 8 832 Penryn 6 624 — Homeless Young Parents: Location Units of accommodation Hours of support provided: Penzance 7 2340 St Austell 6 2340 To ensure that there are appropriate services available to Gypsies and Travellers who require Support to live independently. The need for support may arise because of social exclusion experienced by Gypsies and Travellers in the community and/or because people have specific needs relating to other factors such as Homelessness, substance misuse, poor mental health, learning disability, domestic abuse or physical health. A key aim of the Service is to ensure that Gypsies and Travellers in Cornwall have access to Services that can support people and enable preventative interventions. Support will be provided for people regardless of whether they reside on an authorised or unauthorised site, however the Service Provider will not be required to provide Support in an unauthorised location.
