Tender description

Nemo Link is a HVDC submarine power cable under construction between Richborough Energy Park in Kent, the United Kingdom and Zeebrugge, Belgium. The project is a joint venture between National Grid (UK) and Elia (Belgium). The electrical interconnector will be the first between the two countries and capable of transmitting up to 1,000 MW at 400 kV i.e. an annual transmission capacity of 8.76 TWh. The cable is expected to be operational in 2019. Further information can be found at www.nemo-link.com. The following contracting entities have decided to conduct a tender for the operational insurance of the Nemo Link Interconnector Project. Insurance will be required for Operational/Physical Damage and Business Interruption. Operations are expected to commence in Q1/Q2 2019.
