Conflict Management Note Writing and Officer Safety Courses. It is a key Action from People Security Board to develop a Continuing Professional Development Programme (CPD) for COLC Security Staff. A key element of this CPD programme will be ensuring our security staff are fully trained in conflict resolution, note writing, evidential capture and, possibly, arrest and restraint. As a result, it is proposed to deliver a series of professional development/courses for staff to give them the necessary skills. This work is being progressed by way of a joint project between City Surveyor's and HR (Learning and Development Team). To achieve this, the security team will be split in to 4 or 5 cohorts where the training will be delivered It is proposed that the successful supplier would run courses at the Guildhall, thereby minimising abstractions from the workplace.
