Digital Portering Task Management System: Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust (STH) wishes to engage with organisations who are interested in being potential providers of a Portering Task Management System for the Trust. A brief description and the critical elements of the service specification are listed below. STH is keen to understand your organisation’s interest. The purpose of this PIN is to encourage any organisation interested in providing a Portering Task Management system to engage with us. STH is keen to receive any feedback and would like potential providers to submit a written overview of what they are able to offer. STH will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for any future contract activity. Brief description of requirement. The Hotel Services General Portering Department is looking for a Portering Task Management solution that will help to optimise its service provision to all wards and departments across all 5 sites of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals: Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Northern General Hospital, Weston Park Hospital, Jessop Wing and Charles Clifford Dental Hospital. The General Portering Service is provided by a highly mobile workforce of around 90 staff. Services include: Patient movement: — Northern General Hospital – approx. 4 500 per month (average), — Royal Hallamshire Hospital Central – approx. 4 000 per month (average), — Postal service, — Ad-hoc scrap removal, — Clean and dirty laundry collection and delivery, — Waste disposal, — Sharpsmart delivery and collection, — Internal ambulance patient moves Required functionality includes capabilities for Requestors to raise and track their own jobs and for the Portering Service to allocate, manage, progress and report on its service delivery. The solution must be capable of running on a range of mobile devices as well as from the desktop and across a range of platforms (Windows, iOS and Android).
