Since 1988 Medway Valley Countryside Partnership (MVCP) and Mid Kent Downs Countryside Partnership (MKD) have delivered practical conservation projects throughout the Medway catchment and in the boroughs of Maidstone, Tonbridge & Malling and Swale. The 2 Countryside Partnerships collectively carry out a huge amount of work to benefit people, wildlife, landscape and the quality of the environment (and life) in Mid Kent. The key reason that this resilience work and marketing work is needed now is that the economic climate surrounding environmental conservation has changed drastically in the last decade and at an unprecedented rate, and the sustainability of the partnerships themselves threatens the legacy and on-going value of this vital work. Consequently, we have secured HLF funding to review our vision and purpose, and to consolidate and strengthen the partnerships. All questions, queries and correspondence must go via the portal.
