Tender description

The University of Birmingham wishes to enter into a long-term contract for the provision of services pertaining to Legionella / Water Quality Management and Control Monitoring, Inspection and Treatment across the Employer's premises which will ensure that the relevant equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest quality standards to allow for minimisation and control of risk from bacterial contamination of the Employer's domestic water systems. Pre-Planned Maintenance Inspection and Monitoring tasks shall include, but not be limited, to the periodic monitoring, surveillance and management of: — Domestic Water Services — Storage and Distribution, — faucets, showers, bib taps, etc., — Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) / Thermostatic Mixing Taps (TMT), — Drinking Fountains, — Ornamental Fountains / Ornamental Water Displays, — leisure facilities including swimming pools and spa pools, — irrigation systems, — Wet Air Conditioning. Ad-hoc “As Required” tasks will be required periodically. The execution of such tasks will depend on a number of criteria such as: the condition of systems; the status of control measures; biological activity; etc. ad-hoc tasks shall include but not be limited to: — additional ad-hoc inspections tasks, — tank cleaning and disinfection, — calorifier cleaning and disinfection / pasteurisation, — HWS and CWS distribution systems disinfection, — biological analysis, — chemical analysis.
