SUPPLY OF 2No PREVIOUSLY USED CLASS B FIRE APPLIANCES FOR CORK COUNTY FIRE SERVICE

Tender description

The tenderer must agree to supply previously used Class B Fire Appliances to the following specification: 1. The appliance shall have a chassis first registration date not earlier than 1-1-2001 2. The appliance shall be in a fit for use and road worthy condition and capable of 6 years further service 3. The appliance shall be a right hand drive configuration with power assisted steering. 4. The appliance shall have a minimum engine rating of 230 bhp. 5. The appliance shall have a fully automatic transmission. 6. The cab shall have a minimum seating capacity for six, which would consist of Officer, Driver and four (4) firefighters in the rear crew cab. 7. The water tank shall have a minimum capacity of 1800 litres. 8. The main fire pump shall be a two stage configuration with a minimum design output of 2000 litres per minute at 3metre lift. 9. The main fire pump shall have a minimum of two (2) low pressure deliveries and two (2) high pressure hose reels. 10. The appliance shall not contain corrosion that may render the vehicle un-roadworthy within the next six years. 11. Spare parts shall be readily available for the chassis. An authorised main dealer with both spare parts and workshop facilities shall be based within a radius of twenty (20) miles of Cork County Fire Service HQ in Ballincollig.
