Tender description

The RideLondon annual event was developed by The Mayor of London and his agencies to provide a lasting legacy of the Olympic Games. The annual event inspires people of all ages and from all backgrounds to get active, stay healthy and have fun cycling. The inaugural event took place in 2013 and since then RideLondon has become one of the Mayor's flagship events. The contract with our existing delivery partner ends after RideLondon 2020 event. We are now exploring opportunities to partner with an events company to develop the next chapter of the RideLondon story, to build on the successes to date and broaden the appeal of the event to even more people. The Mayor of London wants RideLondon to continue to be the world's greatest celebration of cycling, engaging the full range of London's diverse communities; and inspiring more Londoners to start cycling in their daily lives. TfL's is conducting this procurement to procure a Delivery Partner for the RideLondon events 2021 to 2025 (inclusive). TfL's strategic objectives for the RideLondon event are as follows: — Delivers a safe event with minimal impact on Londoners, — Inspires more Londoners to start cycling as part of their daily lives, — Engages the full range of London's diverse communities, — Creates a genuinely world class event, which is positively viewed by London residents and businesses, the rest of the UK, and internationally, — Delivers economic benefit to London, — Is cost neutral to TfL, the Mayor and London tax payers and facilitates investment in cycling, — Creates benefit to local communities in London and the South East. The procurement process consists of a two stage process an SQ where 4-6 suppliers will go through to the ITT stage.
