Tender description

Essex County Council (“the Council”) is currently reviewing the provision of specialist healthcare competency based training, for non-healthcare professionals in Essex who work with children and young people with a view to recommissioning this service. The Council envisages that (subject to governance approval) this service will be jointly procured in conjunction with the following health partners: NHS Castle Point and Rochford CCG, NHS Basildon and Brentwood CCG, NHS Mid Essex CCG, NHS North East Essex and NHS West Essex CCG in order to ensure that care staff receive competency based training to meet the care and clinical needs of a child or young person. As part of the Council’s pre-market engagement for this project, a soft market test exercise has been developed which seeks to establish the potential level of interest from organisations to deliver this service, and to invite feedback which could be incorporated into the final specification. Prospective candidates are advised that the scope of this service will incorporate 3 elements: Core, Community Short Breaks for Disabled Children and Transport.
