Tender description

The Authority is seeking to contract with a credible recognised professional body to develop and deliver a series of 5 modules (short courses) that combine into an educational programme that merges enduring aspects of the Business Skills College Defence Strategic Series with best in class professional director level education. The Programme is for 2 years 9 months with option to extend for 1 year. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the Negotiated procedure without Prior publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 32(2)(b)(i) of Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015) for technical reasons. This requirement is for design and delivery of 5 short courses, that combine into an educational programme that merges enduring aspects of the Business Skills College Defence Strategic Series with best in class professional director level education. The Requirement is for 2 years 9 months wit ha 1 year option. The required deliverable is a cost effective, time efficient, relevant and sustainable programme that draws on best practice in company direction and applies it to the public sector MOD context. There is extensive use of Intellectual property exclusively owned Institute of directors (IOD) to ensure that the final product will be accredited professionally. The final product and best value solution is a modified offering that combines IODs proprietary professionally recognised company director educational offering with contextualisation to MOD and government/public sector perspectives and leads towards an IOD accreditation on completion.
