Tender description

This contract is for the provision of professional services in respect of the regeneration and development of the Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre in Taunton. This project represents a major investment for TDBC in cultural infrastructure within the town centre supporting the development of Taunton's garden town identity. The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre sits alongside the River Tone within an area known as the Coal Orchard in a prime position. The successful suppliers will work in partnership with the Council and the leaseholder, the Taunton Theatre Association Ltd, to test, design and deliver a viable and sustainable theatre and arts centre fit for the next 50 years within the fixed 12 000 000 GBP construction budget. The successful suppliers will recognise and align with the council’s vision for the area. Lot 1 Architect led Design Team Core Disciplines = Architect, Lead Designer, Building Services Engineer,Structural Engineer,Principle Designer, BIM Information Manager, BIM Coordinator Non-Disciplines = Heritage Consultancy, Acoustics Engineer, Planning Matters Please note: The Council is still evaluating options in respect of the implementation of BIM. The Council reserves the right to remove these elements from the Requirement Please note the contract duration is an estimate only. The intent of this Invitation to Tender is to select a supplier to potentially provide the Services throughout the project life from RIBA stage 0 through to 7. However the Council will, at the outset, only award Contracts for the delivery of services to the end of RIBA stage 1. RIBA stage 1 is expected to be completed by 15.1.2019. The delivery of the stage 0 and 1 outputs are essential to inform the key decisions and milestone assessments in respect of the projects progression to stage 2 and beyond Lot 2 Project Manager Core Disciplines = Project Management only Please note the Contract duration is an estimate only.
